Training Events

St John’s Church are hosting some exciting training events. These events are open to everyone (from any church or denomination) and are free of charge unless otherwise stated. You can also find links below to recordings from previous events.

22nd – Mentoring Training, 7.30 – 9.30pm.
We welcome Liam Hooton, who serves on the leadership team of Hope Community Church in Hinckley, to equip us for mentoring. He will be sharing stories and teaching from his 15 years of practical experience mentoring in various contexts, religious and secular. This event is open to everyone even if you do not currently ‘mentor’. This training can be attended as a stand alone event or as part of a series. RESERVE your place by emailing:

19th – Youth Work Training Event, Dealing with Challenging Behaviour, 7.30pm.
This evening will be a practical training event with Mike Kelly, Youth Ministry Officer for Leicester Diocese, looking at how youth workers (paid and volunteers) can best create safe environments, deescalate high tension situations and handle challenging behaviour within individual contexts.
This event is open to everyone, paid workers and volunteers. This training is the second evening in a series of events with Mike Kelly. RESERVE your place by emailing:
