MAFIA (Men and Faith in Action)

Welcome to Men and Faith in Action (MAFIA) – a vibrant group that’s part of St John’s Church in Hinckley.

MAFIA hosts events that stimulate debate about important secular and faith-based issues that directly affect men and their families – regardless of whether they attend St John’s, go to another church, or are not practicing Christians. Our events are also very sociable.

At all times, we seek to support the overall aims of St John’s. In particular, this means growing the Church by helping men come to faith.

Based on Hinckley’s Coventry Road, we deliver a regular monthly Saturday morning programme – known as our Fill Your Boots breakfasts. These events offer a traditional, freshly cooked ‘English’ to all breakfasters and, on alternate months, we invite a speaker to share their life journey and explain how, and why, their faith has developed and grown.

Throughout 2017, we’ll be holding several ad-hoc curry and faith nights, and we’ll also be attending some great events hosted by Christian Vision for Men and New Wine.

So please come along. A warm welcome and some great company awaits.
