Change a Nation is a partnership between New Wine and Tearfund working together to see the local church rise up and a nation changed.
Through the Participatory Evaluation Process (PEP), Tearfund partner PAG (Pentecostal Assemblies of God in Uganda) are working with local churches in some of the poorest communities in Uganda. Their way of working isn’t about doing things for people, it’s about enabling people to do thing for themselves, which is much more sustainable. Through Bible study, training and skills workshops, lives are being transformed. Over time, whole communities become able to provide for themselves.
As part of Change a Nation, St John’s Hinckley is twinned with Aboko Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church in the Apac district of northern Uganda. We have committed to supporting the PEP project at Aboko church both prayerfully and financially for a period of three years.
