Small Groups

Small Groups at St John’s are groups of around 12 to 15 people who meet together each week to make new and deepen existing friendships, to explore issues of life together and how faith can have an impact for each of us. Our Autumn groups start the week beginning 16th September and most of them will meet for the 8 weeks up to the end of the autumn term.

Below you will find all the groups on offer this term, take a look at what is on offer and please use the link to sign up for the one you would like to join.

The Ashby Canal flows through the corner of our Parish and includes around 90 permanent and temporary moorings at the Marina.

This group will explore how we as a church can have a regular presence on the canal, meeting, talking and listening to people as well as practical sessions that will help us serve the canal community.

Group: Practicing the Way - The Bible

Thursdays @ 7:30 pm at Gary & Clare’s

Led by Gary & Clare

Do you ever end up with more questions than answers when you have finished reading a bit of the Bible? This group will give the opportunity to ask, “What was that about?!”

Each week we will share life together over a meal and then have time to share our questions and hopefully answer those things that have come out of the Bible reading for the week.
